Big-school resources, small-school attention
The University of Illinois College of Medicine is one of the largest medical schools in the nation, so it offers a depth of resources and expertise you would expect from a major institution. With a class-size of approximately 50 for each entering M2 class at Peoria, our students receive a world-class education with personalized attention.
Innovative training in rural medicine
Through the Rural Student Physician Program (RSPP), selected students participate in a unique alternative track that provides M3 students with a six-month opportunity to learn clinical medicine in a rural setting. This innovative program brings together training in pediatrics, obstetrics/gynecology, internal medicine, psychiatry, and general surgery within the context of family medicine.
